Comments:
The election results are very disappointing. I cannot believe the American people bought into the lies the media spreads. I do understand that some of the immoral actions taken by some members of the Republican party did not help matters, but with the way voters did vote, it seems morals are not all that imporant to them, sadly.
I guess it was a referendum on President Bush. He has done a good job in my opinion, but again, the media slants everything.
My main problem is the new House speaker, Pelosi. She said that any effort to impeach Bush is "off the table". Where in the world did she get the idea that Bush should be impeached? According to the media, she was striking a conciliatory tone, but this is a blatant inflammatory comment. Nobody has ever mentioned impeaching Bush! And, what would he be impeached for?
I just hope the Dems come to their senses and realize how important border security and our presence in Iraq are.

Actually in Berkeley, Ca., there was a referendum for the impeachment of President Bush on the amendments...a newslink said even though they have no authority in this matter, they put it down for a vote just to show how "liberal" they are in Berkeley. Our troops are the ones who protect their rights to be this "liberal" but I guess Ms. Pelosi just wanted to let them know now that she was in charge, she'd make the agenda. I think there was one other district that did the same thing so I assume this is what she was referring to with her impeachment statement.

I did not buy into what the media was presenting. I bought into the disgrace our government is with the way they are handling business. They are constantly tripping over their own comments and trying to justify after the fact. They don't speak in laymen terms; more like lawyers so it's really hard for the laymen to know what is truth and what is not. The media distorts it even further.

I did go and vote last night; but my heart was not in it. Our government leaders are no longer accountable to us, the people of this country.

A lot of us just do it for the sake of saying we did it; but as to who we can believe; it's a big question. I don't have faith in my government; I have faith in God and know that end times are near and I am just waiting for his return.

I agree the results were disapointing, but to be honest, the Republicans brought it on themselves. I subscribe to the belief that the Democrats didn't win the election, the Republicans lost it! My Senator, DeWine (OH), couldn't run far enough from the conservatives that put him in office, constantly trying to negotiate with Kennedy and other Democrats so he could be viewed as trying to establish that he was in the middle. Well, he didn't energize any of us on the right in Ohio and got his butt kicked by a far left Democrat with so many skeletons in his closet it would make your head spin! He tried to be liked by everyone and ended up that no one liked him! The Republicans didn't energize the conservatives in the party. Obviously the war in Iraq (the trouble we are having) had a big influence on the results and that is troubling to me. We lack the backbone to get the job done and it will only result in the terrorists believing all they have to do is continue the fight and we will loose our interest. I characterize it as us (Democrats) not standing up to the bully (terrorists) in the playground and now the terrorists are free to rain terror on us all, especially the weak (Iraqis, Afghanis, Somali's, etc, etc, etc). When are those without a spine in this country going to learn that the only way we can bring peace is to bring the terrorists to their knees.

Amy, in regards to Pelosi's impeachement of Bush, they have been muttering it under their breath for a couple years now. Get ready for the inquisition!

If the democrats gets what they want which is to withdrawl from Iraq then the war will definately will be another vietnam. That is the problem with the democrats. They are selfish and self centered. They do not believe in helping and aiding in anyone other than themselves and their own agendas

In vietnam we pulled out. Jane Fonda went in their and tore the soldiers apart moraly and the soldiers lost their moral. This gave strength to North Vietnam. That is why communist countries such as North Vietnam love Jane Fonda and Kerry. Now not only is Jane Fondas picture hanging on the communist wall Kerry's picture is hanging right along with the communist North Vietnam.

I am sure the terrorist love the Democrats and the Kerry's and Jane Fondas in the world because they gave conflict to the Republicans goal of trying to put an end to terror in Iraq.

The Democratic party is communist worst than the Hitler in the world and Socialist.

Because America ignored the cries for help of the Jews during the World War II. Hitler has his way and I bet the democrats didn't want to help even then. Turned their backs on Humanitarian acts.

It is doubtful that the Democrats will push to pull out of Iraq now. And if they have any common sense they will continue with Bush's strategy of letting the military run the operation. If they instead make the mistake of trying to run it themselves (politicians), which is precisely what happened in Vietnam, it WILL become another Vietnam. But, again, hopefully there will be enough moderate Dems to stay the course and they will simply want the ability to take the credit when it is finally won and claim it was a result of their "new" direction (but, of course, it will simply be a continuation of Bush's).

If the Dems take control of Congress, watch the major news media start to spin everything as positive now so that the Dems get credit in the hopes of taking the Presidency in '08. However, this time it won't be spin as they will finally be telling the truth in an effort to expropriate the many positive Republican results. Given this, it is important to keep on the forefront FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS the following facts that existed on this date (11-08-2006) right after the election and prior to the Dems taking power:

- Unemployment rate at an all-time low of 4.4%
- The DOW at an all-time high of 12,100
- Gas prices down nearing $2/gallon
- Federal tax revenues at an all-time high (and climbing) as a result of the Bush tax cuts
- Federal spending as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) surprisingly low compared with previous administrations including Clinton's
- Federal deficit rapidly declining and so soon after weathering the tremendous economic after shocks of the dot.com crash, 9-11, war on terror and Katrina
- Median-income family of four federal income taxes at an all-time low (paying in 2006 only 5.6 percent of its income which is the lowest level on record since data started to be logged in 1955)
- Americans' income across the board at an all-time high
- War in Iraq going very well including:
- Regime change (with Saddam convicted and sentenced to hang)
- Democracy established and Constitution adopted
- The transfer of security to Iraqi security forces underway
- More than 60% of the Iraqi people glad that Coalition forces removed Saddam and wanting the forces to remain until security established
- Less than 3,000 American soldiers lost to attain these huge achievements (keep in context to 3,000 innocent American lives lost on one day on 9-11; 300,000, or 100X, American soldiers lost in WW2 due to a policy of rationalization and appeasement leading up to its inevitable involvement)
- No terrorist attacks on American soil since 9-11, a direct result of Bush's anti-terror programs (that the Dems want to dismantle)

If the democrats gets what they want which is to withdrawl from Iraq then the war will definitely will be another Vietnam. That is the problem with the democrats. They are acting selfish and self centered. They do not believe in helping and aiding in anyone other than themselves and their own agendas

In Vietnam we pulled out. Jane Fonda went to Vietnam and tore the soldiers apart morally. She sat there right on the North Koreans tanks and sided with them, She even went as far as to go on their radio stations and speak out against the Americans. The American soldiers lost their moral because the North Koreans and Jane Fonda and the other communists were saying that they weren't wanted their to help the South Koreans whom were Christians. They need help they were being killed by their own Korean people.

South Koreans needed the Americans help just like the Jews needed the Americans help in Germany. We arrived to late to help the Jews. It was an atrocity and unkind act not to aid with the Jews survival.

This conflict in which Jane Fonda and the likes of her gave strength to North Vietnam. That is why communist countries such as North Vietnam love Jane Fonda and Kerry. Now not only is Jane Fonda's picture hanging on the communist wall Kerry's picture is hanging right along with the communist North Vietnam.

I am sure the terrorist love the Democrats and their actions against America and the Kerry's and Jane Fondas in the world because they gave conflict to the Republicans goal of trying to put an end to terror in Iraq.

The Democratic party actions is communist worst than the Hitler in the world and Socialist.

Because America ignored the cries for help of the Jews during the World War II. Hitler has had his way and I bet the democrats didn't want to help even then and even now turning their backs on Humanitarian acts.

In Michigan we still have a Democrat Governor ....we are one of the worst states as far as unemployment and our property is decreasing in value. I'm going to be writing to Stabenow and Levin not to take away our tax cuts and to do something about the state they are supposedly representing. I will tell them "we will be watching"...there is another election coming up!!

We need to go the long, hard road, and change the culture back to what it was in the 1930's and early 1940's, before the Devil took control of the media. It can be done. We have the internet, we have cheap digital cams. We can get our values before the public. We can still restore sanity.

The American people are tired of both parties not living up to what they say they are for during the prelude to the election. If they don't produce as stated they will also be removed at the next election.

With the dems in control we will be in big trouble once President Bush is no longer their to protect us. Hopefully in 2008 things will change as a lot of the Senators and Reps will be up for re election and by then the truth of the danger from the dems will be easy to see.

The very things that the Democrats were doing in 1994 that swept the Republicans into leadership, the Republicans ended up doing. They expanded spending and big government. This is a wake up call to the Republicans to get their act together before 08.They need to go back to the contract with America and return to their conservative values that put them in power in the first place. They need to know in what they believe and stand for it come hell or high water. No backing off or compromise.

Although I voted a Republican ticket, it could be the last time I do so. Or to put another way, if the illegals get amnesty, or any type of a fast track to citizenship that those who follow the laws don't, I will no longer vote for any current Republican. I could care less about a guest worker program, but won't stand for amnesty.

Although I am disappointed to see that the American people voted the way they did, I kind of understand it. The Republicans had 12 years to do something to help us, and what can we truly say they did? I am a Republican and always will believe in their values. I just wish the Republican leaders did too. The major concern I have is:"What is going to happen to our religious freedoms now?" I will fight to keep America free from the tyrants. I want to thank you for your positive attitude about this election. I have heard so much doom and gloom that I feel refreshed and encouraged to find people that will see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, we have to work and work hard, but we can do it. After all, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." As long as we have God and people willing to fight for what is right, we have hope in American.

One item that might prove to be interesting. As there were a number of "congress persons" leaving office by being voted out, it would be interesting to know how much it will be costing the American taxpayers to fund their very generous "retirement" benefits. As their "employers" one wonders, who or whom did they negotiate with?

I am not surprised a bit by the outcome of this election. For far too long the Republican control has been overshadowed by what "others wanted" as opposed to what needed to be done.

The economy is not as great as the Republicans would lead us to believe, high costs of electricity and gas, I could go on. When the Republicans begin looking with "FRESH EYES" at the Nation as a whole, when they begin realizing that people (even their own like me) are getting tired of their worn out rhetoric in politics, when they realize that lobbyist do NOT have a place in Washington decisions, and that people are tired of going cold, hot, tired, too many homeless, too many uninsured and hungry because of the lack of jobs, the lack of government concern, THEN they may take back over control.

You can blame the media, you can blame the Kerry's, Kennedys', and Clinton's, but no one, not a single person broke anyones arm or held them hostage to make stupid decsisions and push for more stupid reform like immigration.

Americans are sick and tired of English being a SECOND language here on our home soil. They are sick and tired of hearing how schools are accomodating children who do not speak english, they are tired of hearing how illegal criminals are filling jobs Americans won't, they are tired of the mulititudes coming and driving down the cost of living wages, and they are tired of BIG CORPORATE AMERICA taking valid, well paying jobs to 3rd world countries, by passing the tax system here, and leaving many other Americans without jobs to make more money.

In closing I just feel I must say, that really none of the above is ever going to change unless we the people of this great country take a stand and change it.

Voting in people because of their party affiliation is wrong. Voting against people because of their affiliation is wrong. Until we the people get off our asses and learn about the issues, learn about those running we will continue to face a broken government.

Until we set a standard for House and Senate seats like we do for a President and limit those who hold those offices to a set number of terms (2 would be great) we can continue to expect and deserve the government we have.

The Democratic party was able to capitalize on the discontent with the President and the war in Iraq. There does seem to be a large percentage of the population who is very concerned about the number of American troops being killed (3,000) as of this election, and the tens of thousands who have been maimed or other wise injured for life. Is the government going to step up and provide adequate care for those soldiers?
The thought process seems to be that we shouldn't have been there at all, and that Taliban removal in Afghanistan would have been sufficient. Perhaps it may come to be apparent that regime change may be more necessary in Tehran, or Pyongyang, or Damascus, than it was in Baghdad. Removal of the Baathist regime in Iraq was definetly a change for the better, the methodology has been put to being in question.
Are Americans so wedded to a consumptive consumer based society that they cannot even fathom toughing it out, like the nation did in world war II? Ending the enormous stream of cheap plastic asian goods would be a good first step. Keep trade in this hemisphere. There does need to be a focus on America first, and to take care of those who have sacrified their health and well being for their country.

Everybody just remember GOD is in control of all things!!! However, dont talk down on Republicans cause I believe Clinton was a Democrat and he didn't do anything either. Everyone is focused on Bush or our government not doing something about illegal immagrants, what did Clinton do? Nothing..I mean how hard is it to just let them come and make them start paying taxes the day they get a job--make them US citizens just as soon as they cross the line. All they want to do is better themselves. God loves them just the same as U and I. Another thing, our troops are protecting us thanks to Bush. Which is their job! Instead of bad mouthing--PRAY. I disagree with Republicans and Democrats, I mean I am not either, some republicans I agree with and some democrats I agree with. I think Bush has done a very good job. I'm going to leave with this, sometimes God allows things to happen because we may grumble, complain, and bad mouth etc. We Americans may believe everything is horrible because of the republicans, GOD might be fix'n to show us just how bad things can really be! PLEASE PRAY.

Will there be a lawsuit regarding the deceptive language in Missouri's Amendment 2 (Cloning/Fetal stem cell research)?

I'm sure many people signed the petition or voted for it based on the lie the it would ban cloning.

I was terrified in October 2004, but was surprised and energized by the results.

This time around, I had a lot more optimism going into the election than I have ever had before in my short adult life. It is hard for me to imagine why so many people would vote Democrat or not vote at all, when so much is at stake. In our county, only 33,000 of 90,000 registered voters even bothered to show up.

There was a day, not so long ago, when these election results would have devastated me. But this time I'm equipped, and I'm hanging in there. Experience has taught me that the fight for conservatism is never done.

Admittedly, it's hard right now, but just like on 9-12-2001, we still have to go to work every day, raise our families, make the difference in the world that we can. I know I can't control what our representatives believe or say, and I realize that God is ultimately in control of my life, so I'm not worried.

We are dealing with a bunch nuts
who believe death is a better option than living. Just like Isarael. I believe Pres. Bush is good man and a strong leader. I also agree Iraq is a complete mess.
He has alot on his plate. I Think most of America does believe we went is for all the right reasons
Everyday you look at the news it looks like the same day as before.
Nothing is changing and more of our troops are dying and America is asking what for ? Stay the coarse. It's not the coarse it's the out come. The coarse should lead us to a positive outcome. Let's stay the coarse that ends up in the destination we need to get to. Maybe their is some better directions to get there. I'm not ready to jump on the bush bashing wagon and I'm glad Gore and Karry is not in the office aren't you. Will see. I think Pres Bush has been under estimated. In these hard
times I still have faith in our President. A lot of people do and alot of people don't. Let's stop all the politics B.S and join together as Americans and remember when someone has to be write then someone has to be wrong. We are Americans when we stand united and not divided we will come up with real solutions. I'm keeping the faith. God bless President Bush And God bless America. Brian E San Jose, cA

Hey, let's pay attention. Most of you are just as guilty for listening to the news media. Nothing has changed.
I went done the list for every state election and I observed an overwhelming popular vote for the rep party. The dem's won seats in areas with very low voting. Also, the dem's that won are more conservative than some of the mousie rep that we had in there. In order to asertain the real impact you need to follow the 'money'. Always, follow the 'money'. The election was carefully orcastrated to look like there was an upheavel. No such thing. At first the dem's are going to have to make their presence known, so they are not going to come out with sparklers. They are going to come out with things that are attentenion getting with no real impact. The democratic party is very much like the great lover who sits on the edge of the bed telling you how great it is going to be and then goes to sleep. Historically, they have always needed somebody to blame for things.
Putting Gates in there was one of the slyist move I've seen in a while. Head of the CIA he has markers all over the world, just like Bush '41' before he took office.
By and large, there will be grandious jestures to the people and then they will get right into their self-centered agenda which includes; same sex marriages, with adoption priveliges, amnesty for anybody, molesters being released early and not followed, etc.
We must stand our ground and spend at least five minutes a day in prayer to our own deity to protect our troops and bring them home as soon as possible.
One more thing, we are not in the middle east hunting terrorists, we are there as a deterrant for a Russian take over of the fossil fuels in those countries. Then they will all unit under Islam and that will be the end of everything as we knew it. Regards

I very upset with the election due to that fact that both parties can't agree on anything. As for the war in Iraq it will be another Vietnam if get the troops out. If the Democrats have thier way with dismantling the terriorist protection we have set up,the country is open more attacks. Who are we going to blame?Fingers are going to be pointing each other. As for the new house speaker she is wolf with sheep clothing and also a communist. We have to pray for our elected officals. 2008 is around the corner, we need to ge back to taking care of the common man, values, work enthics, etc...

The Republican Party recieved it's mandate in years past from myself and many others as a party of values and a party of patriotism. The party has fallen short on us lately.
While I support the President and I support the army, I at least question the need we had to go into Iraq. Now we are stuck. If we stay, we put our sons and daughters in harms way. If we leave, we abandon a people we are now obliged to protect. 'Stay the course' may have been dropped, but 'stay responsible' must remain.
I don't need to say too much about our disappointment with the congressional leadership. The Moral compass of the Republican party seems to have lost a little of it's magnetic resonance.
Our duty to protect our borders is only surpassed by our obligation to welcome those who contribute legally to building our nation. We seem to be failing at both ends. Illegals flood the nation, and we treat an entire ethnicity as criminals, people who many business men regard as valuable workers and family oriented Christians.
We need to look at what is right, re-group, and come back. "All men fail and fall short of the glory of God". Look at this all as punishment, but we are still his children and now must come back to Papa, sit on his lap and get on with it.

I am taking a stand and refusing to vote for any candidate that only offers what the opponent has done in the past and none of what they intend to do in the future. I followed this guideline this election and while it did limit my choices, I felt like I voted for the lessor of all evils. The mudslingin in the State of Georgia was horrible and started in the middle of the summer. Daily you are subjected to this and I for one refuse to let it influence my vote. I had researched and had decided on who I thought was best but after listening to all the negative campaigning, changed and ended up voting mostly for the Libertarian party or not for the spot at all. I realize I am just one person but hopefully can get other voters to take note and make an impact on future elections. I think there should be a law that allows each candidate $2500.00 and one month only to campaign on the airways. Maybe then they would spend the money in a worthwhile way. Thanks for having this blog available and for letting me voice my concerns. Karen J.

Where did Pelosi get the idea that Bush should be impeached????????? THE MEDIA!!!!! The media hates President George Bush, and has made it their goal to destroy him. If Cindy Sheehan says Bush should be impeached, the media sends cameras and has it on the evening news as if Cindy Sheehan is open minded, unbiased and credible. Americans are bombarded daily with Bush wrong on Iraq, Bush should be impeached, Bush wrong on WMDs, Iraq war is about oil, Bush and Cheney profit from cleanup in Iraq, Iraq prisoners abused in Bush's war on Iraq, Rumsfeld should resign. Is it any wonder President Bush's approval ratings drop????? The media beats him up day after day after day, on issue after issue. Have you noticed how reporters regularly refer to President Bush as "Mister" Bush?? Shame on ABC, NBC and CBS, Wolf Blitzer, Paula Zahrn and all of the liberal medea!!!

This morning I woke up more cynical than usual. I think that the only people who care whether Republicans or Democrats are in charge are the poor, misguided citizens of this country.

The members of Congress, Senate, and the President do not care. They get paid either way and if they are voted out, they have a full retirement, not just social security (the biggest pyramid scheme ever invented).

We are the only ones who take our values seriously. How else do you explain such things as the friendship between the first President Bush and a man like Bill Clinton?

How can we really tell them how we feel and impress on them that we hate where they are leading us? Obviously, voting does not help. They did nothing to help our country for the past 12 years and now we will fall even quicker.

I suppose we could have our own protests, but those of us who share these values and are here legally (by birth or immigrated legally) have jobs that prevent us from just walking out and taking to the streets. Frankly, I did not even notice a difference on the Day Without Illegals, but if those of us who share these values walked out of our jobs like that, I guarantee everyone would notice. The problem is those jobs are integral and imporant and cannot be abandoned for a protest.

Anybody have any good ideas?

Stem Cell research and abortion...makes me wonder if we don't deserve what's coming. How could the American people vote for politicians that want infantcide? I spoke with one of my "demo" friends, and he said he thought stem cells were collected from cord blood....I think a lot of people were misinformed. And why did someone not put this information out to everyone? It's like right after the elections, the truth comes out!

It has been apparent for some time that the emperor has no clothes. The situation in Iraq has been ground into a stalemate and all we hear is progress is being made and we need more time to train the people of Iraq to take over the defense of their own country.
We can train recruits in 8 to 14 weeks but can't train the people of Iraq in 3 years.
Rumsfield offered 3 times to resign and finally GW put aside his hubris and accepted the obvious, only a year too late.

The right wing talk show hosts are also to fault for the election fisasco. It's ok to point out the short fallings of the Dens. but they could of spent some time pointing out the faults of the Bush Admin.Rush, Hannaty etc.just waved pom-poms for Bush and had their audience believing he walked on water.I only heard Savage address the real facts and point out the issues that did in the Rep.party.
Besides Iraq, look at the over the top spending, the refusal to lock down the boarders and other issues.GW is anything but conservative; he's defined himself as compasionate,as is how most liberals I know define themselves.GW should get along just fine with the new congress.

The Republicans did not lose this election. The voters are fed up with the lies and corruption and morality of some of the Republican politicians therefore they cleaned house of these people. God is in control and we have read in the scripture many times that God used bad for good. We know God will not fail us and he knows the beginning from the end. Be encouraged He has not moved but we as a nation have moved away from Him....

Personally, I wish we could do away with party lines altogether and come together as "One Nation Under God", and work together to find solutions to problems. I don't see that happening however. I do know that the Democrats think they have won a great victory. But God is still in control no matter who wins. Do I think that there is corruption in the Republican party---of course, but because they are under close scrutiny, the Democrats corruption is over-looked. None of us are perfect. I am neither Republican or Democrat, but a Christian. I tend to go with the people who are. I personally think that the President has been treated horribly by all Americans. They used to shoot people and call it treason. You may not like President Bush, but he needs to be respected. He is doing the best he can do under the deplorable conditions of his tenancy and we as Christians should be on our knees praying for him, instead of judging him. It wasn't so long ago that President Clinton was impeached for immorality that he lied about----how soon we forget when there is an election. It is sad that our nation votes the "morally bank-rupt" Democrats in and then blames the Republicans for it. We need to support our government. It is not a personality contest. If we don't respect our leadership, why should other countries. I think President Bush is doing a good job, but he isn't perfect. Walk a mile in his shoes before judging him. My husband is an HOA president and has done a super job---but guess what? He gets complaints! What a surprise. There will always be people who bellyache about something----you can't satisfy every group. George Bush doesn't waiver for the vote. He does what is unpopular for the safety of our great nation, and I for one applaud him for that--he's not wishy washy like some I could name. Media always spreads doom and gloom---that's what sells newspapers/magazines. There are a lot of positives going on in Iraq but that just doesn't sell newspapers--I blame the media for a lot of damage to the Presidency. Always out for a hot scoop while the "people" pay the price---we need them to be held accountable---God certainly will. People want to talk about the death toll---good grief! More have been killed in other wars and more are killed in training accidents than any war----I know---I am a widow of just such a training accident. He survived the worst fighting in Viet Nam to become a training accident fatality. He didn't make any news broadcast. It's time we realized every life is precious to God. These men and women give their lives so that we can sit here and make comments. We need to support the troops and our government. Thank you and God Bless.

I'm sick the moral value of this election went down...the dems did a better job of getting out the creepiest of creeps on their side...I could see it coming, with the republicans in office being so whimpish for so long, McCain, etc on down...appears no one could stand up as Bush does...he was betrayed and the dems saw the weakness of those in office...God knows we didn't need to cater to dems...we have one more chance coming up - let's not blow it...though it's scary to know maybe 1/2 of populous is immoral and et al...

The most pressing issue is climate change. The government, as well as the media to an extent, has interfered with the average American's understanding of this complex problem. As we all know, many of the Democrats are only liberal in name, but I'm hoping that a new Congress will push our president to address the issue. If we don't budge, China won't. I'm not looking forward to the "end" of the world as some of you seem to be ever joyous for. We can solve problems and try to create a world for our children - or other people's children.

What you are all missing - by "sending a message to the Reps" is that now all hope of immigration reform is out the door. Bush knows his allies in his worldview vision of no amnesty and open borders are the dems and now they have the house and the senate. Expect to see amnesty pushed through, open borders even more and less patroling of the borders. Great job all you uninformed people. What the heck are you thinking? Not only that, without Rep in control, forget about getting any supreme court justices that aren't straight from the ALCU like Ruth Gingsberg. Expect more of our rights being erroded. Again, great job all you people sending a message (sarcasm intended). I'm disappointed more in the American voter than I am in the Rep. party. Please get informed.

The most disappointing aspect of this election is that our republican leadership let the damage happen. When will we learn that we will always get more negative reporting and ultra hard/intense digging of dirt against our people to balance the liberal media smooth-overs of liberal democrat pols. It's ok for Berry to do dope but it will never be ok for a Republican to do pages. We need to go through our own party, identify the idiots who can't control themselves and get rid of them before the next election. We need to tell the American people we have done so and welcome their help in providing conservatives and moderates they can trust. Because we didn't stay cleaner than clean we gave the Dems & liberals the perfect tool to win with. The election results are totally the fault of our own party and we stand to loose much of what we gained. If we don't clean up the next election will see more of the same. By the way, nasty and unnatural though it is to us, we need to spend effort finding the nastiness in the Liberal and dems and do the same thing to them. Who doesn't believe Pelosi is an alien after seeing he interview expressions in her post election interviews.

I have been a Republican all of my life. I raised money for Bush and many other GOP candidates, worked in the elections, did all the things I could to support the party, but I voted for the Democrats this time. The Republicans have forgotten the middle class in this country. Energy, insurance, and health care costs have literally eaten away the profits of many small business owners over the past 5 years but the offered remedies have not done the job. In fact most are a flat out joke. The GOP has hid behind social issues to motivate voters but I told my Congressman over a year ago that that election ploy was getting very thread bare. People are tired of making less than they were in the 90s under Clinton and will vote their pocket book at some point. People also realize that while we cannot leave Iraq now, it was a mistake to invade. The Iraq invastion had nothing to do with the noble fight on terrorism or in protecting our national security. Tax cuts and smaller government are not the answer all of the time. Some government programs are essential, contrary to the views of the Republican Study Club. If we had spent a couple of billion dollars on the levees in Louisana we could have saved many lives and countless billions of dollars later. I hope the GOP learns their lesson and becomes more moderate. The radical right is a guarantee that we will have a Democrat in the White House in 2008. Better a Blue Dog moderate Democrat than a radical right Republican in any office any day.

it appears that our country is in for a long 10-years, and the American people do not share full blame, but the Republican leadership
(or lack of).

I am reminded of that time in the sixties when many of us lifelong Democrats first voted Republican because Barry Goldwater won our Conservative hearts. Proudly we donned our little pins of golden donkeys wearing horn-rimmed glasses. Sneeringly, we often referred to our once fellow Democrats as "Yellow Dog Democrats," meaning that they would vote for a Yellow Dog if he ran on a Democratic ticket. Now we can apply the same terminology to our fellow Republicans. Folks who put party first, revere "their" beloved president and refuse to recognize his too many to count errors, faults and failures---and fail to understand that he and the others in his little band of merry controllers are virtual billionaires and care nothing if the entire U.S. heritage of once predominately white eyed Americans goes bye bye. The reason they don't care? He and his buddies can live anywhere in the world in grandeur, sending their grandkids to swank private, very elite schools where 'tiz said "no child is left behind" and it is possible.
The Republicans and the Democrats are birds of a feather. Neither know the difference between a Republic and a Democracy, so think ours is supposed to be a Democracy. Both worship the United Nations, globalism, world government and erased borders. Both have made no honest effort to reduce illegal and legal immigration, despite the fact that soon overpopulation will ruin this nation of ours, ruin our schools, our hospitals, our health, our safety. Both have allowed white Europeans to be grossly discriminated against in the legal immigration process. Both parties have allowed legal immigrants to flood into the nation too rapidly to become assimilated--to speak American, think American, love America and become Americans with no loyalty to their former nations. Both parties have lied to us about their desires to halt illegal immigration. Were they serious about such, the borders would have been closed eons ago. Both parties plan to give the illegals--the American law breakers--amnesty while disguising it by another name which they think American voters will, stupidly, not realize is "amnesty."
The "controllers" in both parties are more interested in obtaining more and more power and big bucks than in doing what is right for our America. America has been "taken over." Gone from both parties are the leaders who valued that amazing document which made us the greatest nation in the world--the U.S. Constitution and caused assimilation of all immigrants into the culture and heritage of a truly superior way of life never appearing on the world scene before. Now our America has become a Tower of Baby Babble --soon to be, as are some other nations, a land where folks in one section find it impossible to communicate with others nearby. (Despite a law that requires all would-be citizens speak English--(and should be read in English, also.) We have judges making laws now. We have a President who lets the UN World Court cause him to insist that rapist-murdering illegals get re-trials.
The tri-pod of our freedom (courts, executive branch, congress) is about to fall down.
The elitists put old man Bush into office along with Reagan and the Bush Empire into being. Can it be true that one of the Bush clan was a traitor selling guns and ammo to the enemy in World War II the World and was pardoned for it by a Democrat president? (Everybody has to make their families filthy rich someway, I suppose--if they want to put a son in the White House.) The Kennedys got their kick toward their fortune by a bootlegging grandpaw, and so it goes. Illegals win.)

Both parties stink.

God save America.

Good Bye America

Americans have always been slow to realize or to react when their country was in trouble!
We have a government that is more interested in a One World Government, homosexuality, killing babies, and not offending foreigners than they are in honoring their oaths of office, the Constitution, and the American culture!
Selling us out to a One World Government (U.N.) is dishonoring every man and woman that has ever fought and died to preserve the Constitution and the American way of life! Benedict Arnold did a lot less than that to be run out of this country!
By the time the American people wake up and quit fighting over the Republican and Democratic parties and realize neither party is worth a crap and both parties are selling us out, we will no longer be America! We will be the North American Union (District Seven) in the United Nations and under the laws of the U.N. Charter!
So, just keep on America, and let the politicians have wide open reigns and see what you get!
The politically correct law that being shoved down our throats is not Constitutional law, it's a law from the U.N. Charter! The non-action of the government on Illegal Immigration is not because of disagreement of the parties, it's U.N. law! The U.N. Charter states, there is no such thing as Immigration, that people of the world should be able to MIGRATE without any restriction of any national laws! The migrants should be able to hook up to any and all social services without restrictions! Sound familiar?
So America, keep your heads in the sand just a little longer and you won't have a country to worry about! Your children and grandchildren won't have the same opportunities as Americans of the past. They won't be Americans, they will be global citizens living under global laws and foreign cultures!!
So Good Bye America!
The True American!!
