House Listens To Citizens--Delays Senate Amnesty Push

by Steve Elliott, Grassfire.org President

House leadership just announced that they will not succumb to pressure from the Senate to fast-track the amnesty bill. Instead House Speaker Hastert says the House will conduct “field hearings” on the amnesty bill. Hastert said, “I'm not putting any timeline on this thing, but I think we need this thing done right."

This is great news. House leaders are saying that we must secure the borders first and are resisting the Senate rush to amnesty.

Go to Grassfire’s home page for the latest:

+ + Immediate action needed--Call House Leaders!

I expect House leaders will come under intense pressure and we must let them know that we support their decision to have field hearings and delay the Senate amnesty push. I am asking you to make a few phone calls right now to let House leaders know you support their decision.

TALKING POINTS:

1. I am a Grassfire team member.

2. I STRONGLY SUPPORT the House leadership’s
decision to delay the Senate amnesty bill and hold
“field hearings.”

3. I support the House bill and oppose the Senate amnesty
plan.

Latino says: "I want illegal latinos out"

This post came as a comment to the GrassfireBlog. Worth reading.
--Grassfire.org

Well let me start by saying that i am a latino. thats only because i was labeled as such by our government. i was born in the U.S as were my parents and grandparents. therefore i consider myself a true American the same way a person who is anglo, african,or an asian person would.

It seems that all of these illegal alien protests are directed towards latinos. lets not forget about Russian gangs, asian gangs, armenian gangs, ect. i do feel that it should be directed towards all races including latinos. illegal is just that "illegal", and anybody that is illegal should not be rewarded for commiting a crime.

I want illegal latinos out of my country just as much as any true American, maybe even more since other Americans look at me and think oh great "a wet back" . I am sick and tired of illegals ruining the pride and heritage of well established and respectable Americans of Latin decent. It drives me nuts to see cars around Los Angeles with foriegn flags flying, what the heck, if your country is so damn great then please by all means leave.

Activists and even the President have said that America needs illegals because Americans will not do the dirty work. i say bull, what about all of the lazy Americans on wellfare, section 8 housing, food stamps, medical, free school lunches, reduced utility rates? put them lazy people to work and get them off of the system and lets see how much money we can really save! VIVA LA RAZA, MY FOOT. ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

Part of the Terror we Make War Upon--2611

I am as disgusted as most American citizens that our Senate would approve this atrocious bill.  The idea that our elected officials--a majority at any rate--would approve the amendment that America must "consult with Mexico" prior to erecting a fence should have been enough to have caused real Americans to oppose 2611, as it did Senator Kyle.  I will not stop writing, emailing, faxing and phoning so long as there is hope of defeating this bill and stopping it from becoming law.  I hope others are doing the same--we need everyone to let our Congress know in no uncertain terms that we are dead set against this Bill of Shame.
